Amazing amazing food. Food is either traditional or just slightly cooked differently. For instance, the fried green tomatoes are thinner than you normally get, however, it gives a definite fried pickle chip vibe and is extra crispy. Think of some of the batter sticking together and get a whole grouping of crispy fried green tomatoes All the dessert you can eat. Wonderful pictures on the wall with historical significance. Highly recommend this

The food is cooked to order. I try to go often. If you like southern soul food just out of the piping hot grease, the seafood is the way to go.

My coworkers were in town for a project and didn't know the area but found this restaurant on google due to it being open early and had excellent rates. We almost didn't go in due to the sign that read "cash only" but one of the my coworkers had cash. The people that work here were so friendly and welcoming. We all ordered the catfish plate. They did not hold back. They provided more fish than any one of us could eat. I have had a lot of catfish but theirs to one of the best. If I am back in the area I am definitely coming back.

Saw the reviews here and decided to eat here on our vacation. When we walked in at 4:20pm (Sat), the line was 10 deep with about that many waiting for their orders. I ordered catfish, hubby ordered ocean perch, both with fries and coleslaw. It was about a 20" wait. The fish was delicious. We could have split one order and had fish to spare. This is down home cookin'. If you're in Jackson, come check it out!

The food was great. The fish was cooked to perfection. The service was great. They get you in and get you out of there in a timely manner. The ambiance feels homey an very historical.

This place is a secret gem. I lovvveeedd the service! The cashier was very helpful and patient during my first time there. I have been a repeat customer since my very first experience. I have even traveled 3+ hours just for this food!!! I have told so many people about Martin's. Do not let the outward appearance of it being a little mom and pop business deter you, do not judge a book by its cover. You will not be disappointed!! The prices are super affordable and the portion sizes are filling. If you are second guessing eating here, what are you waiting for?!!! Amazing food awaits!!!

Martins is the ONLY place I get my fish from! lol that's if I don't go catch it my at the reservoir. My favorite is Pantrout soft fried with a double order of Mac and Cheese. I have been going here for years and the qual of food has yet to disappoint me! So if you're ever wanting to get me fish for lunch or dinner, ONLY go to Martins Fish House!! Sirena

Been hearing about this place for years. OMG!! The food was amazing !Fresh Seasoned Cooked Right! It's three hours away worth it for a nice day trip in the future. If you driving thru Jackson Mississippi this would be the stop to make. $20 for the meal and 2 drinks. More than enough for 2 even 3 people.

Visiting with family and we all decided we wanted some fried fish. After reviewing Yelp places, we decided on Martin's. There is about 8 parking spaces outside, wasn't a big deal when we first arrived we were the only car. When we left every parking spot was taken. We ordered (3) Catfish Platters, Shrimp Po' Boy, large side of Fried Okra and French fries. Each platter came with 2 sides and 3 hush puppies. Fish was cooked perfectly, good flavor. French fries were crispy. Mac & Cheese was good, fried okra was tasty. Shrimp Po' Boy was good as well. All these orders fed 5 adults, and we still have enough left over for tomorrow. I would definitely be back, either on this trip or the next time I return to Mississippi.
